Step-by-step

Everything you need to go from registration to winning work.

1

Create your account

Go to Add Your Business, enter your details and email. We’ll send a secure verification link.

2

Complete your profile

Add services, qualifications/insurance (where applicable), photos and a concise intro. Strong profiles win more jobs and build trust.

3

Set catchment

Choose postcodes or a radius. Flexible radius adjuster to make sure you only cover the areas you want to.

4

Receive matched job notifications

When a customer posts within your coverage, you’ll receive an alert. Jobs are designed to stay fair and relevant.

5

Decide to bid (tokens)

Review the job details, location and proposed budget. If it’s a fit, use the required amount of bid tokens (depends on the job size 1 - 4 tokens) to place a sealed bid. No subscriptions — you control your spend per opportunity.

How bidding works
Bid tokens give you a seat at the table (1 of up to 3 spaces). Quote on the job lead you have received, your quote is your bid, and it is sealed while active. Other providers cannot see your price. If your bid is declined, you may see the current lowest live bid — and (where authorised) the competing provider’s name — so you can decide whether to adjust your quote using your free re-bid.
How many bids per job?
Each job accepts up to three provider bids so your quote isn’t lost in crowded auctions.
6

Declined? Free re-bid

If your bid is declined, you may be eligible to re-bid for free (no additional tokens). Use this to sharpen pricing or clarify scope.

7

Win the job & connect

If selected, you’ll be connected with the customer to confirm details, schedule and payment. Payments are agreed directly between you and the customer.

8

Build reputation

Completed jobs increase your visibility. High ratings and timely responses help you win more — at better margins.

Tokens, Pricing & Fair Play

Bids For Business is designed for value and fairness. There’s no monthly subscription. You only use tokens when a job looks right.

Transparent cost

Tokens are spent only when you bid. Budget easily and scale up or down.

Sealed + smart transparency

Your bid remains sealed while live. If declined, you may see the lowest active bid — and, where authorised, the provider name — allowing you to adjust strategically using your free re-bid.

Free re-bid

If declined (where eligible), adjust and re-bid at no extra token cost.

Patent Pending: Bids For Business uses a protected bidding workflow. Please do not reproduce or attempt to reverse-engineer our mechanisms.

Bid Token Packs

There are no subscriptions. You simply purchase token packs and use tokens only when you decide to bid on a job.

10 Token Pack

£5.50

Ideal for testing the platform or bidding selectively.

20 Token Pack

£11.00

Better value for regular bidding.

50 Token Pack

£22.00

Best value for active providers.

How tokens work

  • • Each job requires a small number of tokens to place your bid.
  • • For example: 1 token for smaller jobs, up to 4 tokens for larger, more lucrative jobs.
  • • The token requirement is clearly shown before you bid.
  • • If your bid is declined, you may be eligible for a free re-bid.
  • • No monthly fees. No contracts. Full control.

Provider FAQs

Everything businesses need to know about joining, bidding and winning work on Bids For Business across the UK & Ireland.

Getting started

Any legitimate business or sole trader operating in the UK or Ireland that complies with local licensing, insurance and tax obligations. Typical categories include trades (plumbing, electrical, building), cleaning, childcare, pet care, accountancy, IT support, gardening, removals and more.
Go to Add Your Business, complete your details, and choose a catchment radius by postcode. You’ll then see relevant local jobs within your chosen area. You can adjust your radius anytime in your settings to scale up or focus locally.
You must hold any licences and insurance required for your trade and location. Customers often ask for proof before hiring. Keeping your documents up-to-date helps you win more jobs and build reviews.

Bidding & tokens

Customers post a job once and local Providers submit their best quote as a bid. Customers compare price, reviews and availability, then select a winning bidder. Our competitive workflow is patent pending and protected — see Terms.
Tokens allow you to submit a bid on a job. You only spend tokens when you decide a job is worth pursuing. Token pricing is displayed before purchase; tokens are non-cash credits (non-transferable unless stated) and have no monetary value outside the platform.
Many categories allow a free re-bid if your original bid is declined or becomes uncompetitive. Re-bid visibility and constraints (e.g., timing, caps) may vary by category and demand and are shown in-product.

Payments, fees & refunds

Payments are processed by secure third-party providers that support UK/EU SCA (Strong Customer Authentication). We do not store full card details. Receipts appear in your billing section and are emailed to you.
Tokens are typically non-refundable once used. If there’s a clear platform error preventing a bid from being submitted, contact support with details; we’ll review on a case-by-case basis.

Jobs & customers

Customers review bids and may message you for clarification. If you’re selected as the winning bidder, you’ll receive the customer’s contact details and agreed scope; confirm the final details in writing before starting work.
Agree changes and new pricing in writing with the customer. If a job is cancelled before start due to customer reasons, you may leave a factual note on the job. Good communication and written confirmation protect both parties.

Reviews & reputation

After work completes, customers can rate and review. Keep communication clear, agree scope and price, and ask for a review politely when finished. Consistent 5★ service drives visibility and win rate.
Yes. Provide evidence (messages, photos, invoices). We may remove reviews that breach guidelines (abuse, hate speech, irrelevance) or are demonstrably false. Legitimate negative feedback is usually retained to protect buyers.

Account & settings

Use your profile settings to adjust your radius, categories, and preferred times to receive alerts. You can pause notifications temporarily when you’re busy, then resume when ready.
Yes. Add additional users with roles/permissions, and configure additional service areas if you operate in multiple locations. Where available, you can assign jobs to branches.

Compliance & legal

Providers must comply with applicable consumer law, advertising standards and data protection (UK GDPR or ROI GDPR). Keep records of quotes, agreed scope, invoices and customer communications.
Yes — the Bids For Business bidding workflow is patent pending and protected. Copying, simulating or enabling substantially similar workflows is prohibited. See our Terms.

Technical help

Check notification settings, your email spam folder, and your radius/categories. Some categories have fluctuating demand; broaden coverage if needed. Ensure your browser/app notifications are enabled.
Yes — contact support with the job link, timestamp and any error messages. If a platform error prevented submission, we’ll review and make it right where appropriate.

Other questions

Our core model is pay-when-you-bid. We may pilot optional bundles or credits from time to time — if available, they’ll be shown in your billing area.
